We have confirmed that on some Apple Watch models, GPS location can stop updating partway through a STATSMAN measurement. This may cause some data, such as distance and heatmaps, to be recorded incorrectly. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are actively investigating the cause. The latest version adds logging of the Apple Watch model, OS version, and whether the iPhone was nearby when measurement started, to help identify the conditions under which this occurs. This logging does not change what is displayed or how measurement works.

We will release a fix as soon as the cause is identified, and will continue to share progress in future updates.
