Apple Watch fall detection may trigger during play
We have confirmed that Apple Watch's built-in fall detection can trigger unintentionally during contact play. We recommend a setting change before measuring.
We have confirmed that during intense, contact-heavy play, Apple Watch's built-in Fall Detection feature can trigger unintentionally while using STATSMAN.
Fall Detection is a standard Apple Watch feature that prompts an emergency SOS call when it detects a strong impact consistent with a fall. It can sometimes mistake contact plays or landing from a jump in sports like football for a fall.
This is a built-in Apple Watch feature and cannot be controlled from within the STATSMAN app. To prevent an unintended emergency call, we recommend checking the following setting before you start measuring.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone → Emergency SOS → turn off Fall Detection.
